We train rabbinic leaders who are men of spirit, able to serve as a spiritual resource in the personal dimension of people’s lives

We train rabbinic leaders who are firmly grounded in Talmud and Jewish Law
We offer a two-year, part time Beit Midrash Semicha (Rabbinic ordination) Program.

We teach Jewish law with commitment, passion and spirit. This coming year we will concentrate on the laws of Shabbat with a counterpoint of the laws of interpersonal relations. Our course of study is both broad and in-depth. It is combined with lectures addressing contemporary ethical and legal issues. All learning includes comprehensive testing leading to Rabbinic ordination.
Our program incorporates guided spiritual growth nurturing a spiritually attuned, humble, creative teacher and Rabbi able to truly connect with people. Our students are actively engaged in inspired spiritual learning, facilitated group work and mentored personal development.
We offer master classes in leadership training with leading practitioners in Jewish outreach and Jewish Education, as well as practical workshops in communication and public speaking skills. Mandatory fieldwork for all participants gives them hands-on experience in a controlled environment.

In short, Sulam Yaakov offers an open, creative and deeply meaningful program, combining intense study of Halacha and spirituality with leadership training that will prepares young men to serve Am Yisra’el.
