Faculty Sulam Yaakov engages some of Jerusalem's best known teachers, each one bringing many years of teaching experience. The Halacha program is run by two of the most sought out poskim for the local Zionist Anglo community. Another two have led communities for many years, gaining vast experience and practical wisdom from their leadership roles. Without a doubt the excellence of our teachers is at the heart of our success and fantastic growth rate. Rabbi Aharon Leibowitz, is Rosh Beit Midrash of Sulam Yaakov, Rabbi of the Kol Rina Synagogue in the Nachla’ot neighborhood of Jerusalem, and master teacher able to impart the meaning and relevance of Torah. A former IDF officer, he has also built a successful practice in corporate training and development, specifically in the areas of leadership, teamwork and communication. Rabbi David Sperling, is a leading scholar and teacher in Jerusalem. Born in Australia, he studied under the guidance of Rabbi Shlomo Aviner, and is a talmid muvhak of Rabbi Y.H. Henkin. Rabbi Sperling is noted for the clarity of his understanding, his personal warmth and the breadth and depth of his knowledge. Rabbi David Fink, is a master teacher with encyclopedic knowledge of Jewish law, which he applies to the thorniest of contemporary Halachic problems. A world class linguist, Rabbi Fink is also an expert in many fields, including the interface between modern technology, medicine and halakha. Rabbi Daniel Kohn, is a founding member of the village of Bat Ayin, Rabbi of the village, and a sought after facilitator of spiritual growth programming. He is also an accomplished saxophone and clarinet klezmer musician. He is especially drawn to the contemplative works of the Maharal and Chassidut Chabad, and serves as a model for the profound spirituality and continued personal growth that he teaches so well. |
